I use evidence-based methods to work with patients experiencing anxiety, depression, loneliness, self-criticism and relationship issues including family difficulties.

My approach is primarily psychodynamic. This method focuses on helping clients gain insight into their thoughts, behaviours, and emotions. Grounded in evidence-based practice, this approach allows for lasting and meaningful change. Psychodynamic psychotherapy has been shown to provide more significant and lasting change than other approaches to therapy which focus on cognition or thoughts. .

I work from the perspective that psychotherapy is about clarifying ideas about who we are and who we would like to be. Therapy is a process of giving words to experiences, memories and emotions in order to improve well-being.

I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers.  I completed a Master of Social Work at Wayne State University specializing in interpersonal practice and psychodynamic psychotherapy.  I also hold a Master of Arts from the University of Ottawa and an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto.

I provide therapy for adolescent and adult populations. I have advanced training in several therapeutic modalities including trauma informed psychotherapy, so that I can align my approach with the individual needs and goals of each client.
